2010: GREAT MOMENTS MY FIRST

The year is just finishing a good time to look back a little and see what we reported this 2010 Cyclo (but not only ...; -)

A quick overview of the highlights of the cycling season, but some solo, most (and best) with ... Basically, I wanted to limit myself to one photo per month, but it was not too good memories ... well, I'm not going to complain about that ... ;-)

JANUARY
A good start: the snow that fell on the second weekend we were able to do one of the best releases of the year (and it was only the second). We kept very good memories throughout the year.
For those who have never tried (you need an ATV as well) I encourage you because the feelings are unforgettable.

For the rest, was the month of enrollment for the Marmotte and the Etape du Tour (the main goals of the season) and ride alone, paced very quiet, to develop the capillaries.

FEBRUARY
This year, we had a very hard winter. Outputs in the fleet (jelly) or with snow, that is, always cold. And sometimes we find ourselves in situations just "borderline".

only way out, to dismount and pick your way ... someone tried to walk on ice with wedges?
We did it! ;-)

MARCH:
Still cold, but already the days are slightly longer and morale begins to rise. Now I can ride the same pace as the rest of the group ... (but they always have to expect after a climb ;-).

APRIL:
Months of meetings, first with Florian who just bought a new bike. Exit that I took to show him the results of my training plan ...
He appreciated my column, so much that he decided to call the "right of reply" ... The first in this blog ... ;-)

The second meeting with the group Cotesua during my two week vacation in Spain. Well, with them (and despite my training plan) I always see things the same way ... ;-)

MAY:

The arrival of spring is synonymous with long outings and intense I manage to keep up with the group and sometimes ... they are the ones that take mine ... ;-)

We are near the top goals of the season and it's not the right time to disperse with other activities, but with Marc (our human GPS) surprises can happen at any time.

Session "bike-branching" in the forest of Fontainebleau ... ;-)

JUNE: First
goals this season ... while my English colleagues came to run the Paris - Roubaix, we (Thierry Florian and I) went off the worm Three Balloon, the moral block ...

Even if I finished with Florian (him, much fitter than April). Well, despite my head-end path, the cyclo was a highlight of the season, surely we will return in 2012.
But Florian, it was only the appetizer for a few days later he was already on the Ardechoise Orgerus with the group.
And to finish the month, I faced a "poltergeist" (strange or paranormal phenomenon) due to my tires Ultremo.
Finally, I did not need to exorcise my bike, it was enough with a standard exchange by Michelin ... ;-)

JULY:
A major appointment of the season: The Groundhog.

Without doubt my best ever because I could share it with Florian, but my mates Thierry Spaniards who came in large numbers.
And a few weeks later, another great moment in my first Etape du Tour where, finally, I have benefited fully from the results of my training plan (with new friends drive: group Orgerus) .

Tourmalet My first ...

AUGUST:
Once the goals of the season behind us, up to fun and games with the guys here ... Manolo, he is behind this blog ...
With the group BTT "Companys" ... And a little time to train future generations. SEPTEMBER
The priority is always happy news, this time shared with new friends for my BTT out here and Mikael Lawrence. But, unfortunately, terrible news has disturbed the end of the season. The death, after a long illness, Laurent Fignon.

OCTOBER
First rains make the mud starts to make roads impassable (at least for me ;-) So I go back to the bike with the group ... Babou course. Looks like they were waiting for me ... ;-)

NOVEMBER:
The fall colors are also conducive to thinking ... The ideal time to take stock of the season (this worked well and, above all, what did not work at all), start planning and thinking about the goals of the next.

And another bad news for the group Babou:
Thierry who, for reasons of work, went to southern France.

DECEMBER:
The return of cold and with him on the drive home trainer ... This year, almost 1,600 km without the comfort of my garage ... incredible!

Well, if we manage to leave the job without getting stuck in snow ... ;-)

But with snow or without it, Manuel ... ¡Vuelve a casa por Navidad!

In conclusion, as you can see, a very good year for cycling ... So much so that I could sign for one year 2011 of the same level ... and you ? ;-) Good

Road to Good Year.

3 Minutel Funny Speeches

10,000

With the release today, 50 km bike paced very quiet (128 beats on average) I just get to 10 000 km since the beginning of 2010 (750 ATV, 1550 on the home trainer and the rest on the road).
More 410 hours spent on one of my five bikes: Three road and two mountain bikes (the problem of life straddling two countries).

As Manolo (a English friend) I'm not all obsessed with the miles or hours of cycling. Indeed, most of the time the screen of my heart shows only time, temperature and pulse (almost never speed or distance).

But when I get home, I'm the engineer, needs all this data to dissect out, assess the state of my form and, if necessary, adjust my training. For once, just to say a little my confidence or my motivate it's already ... ... ;-)

's all for today, tomorrow the summary of the year in pictures, do not miss ...

Im 36 Weeks Pregnant, Why Is My Poop Green?

SAINTS INNOCENTS

Today is the day the equivalent of the Holy Innocents, here in Spain, from April 1. That said, I had the sensation of having lived in anticipation ...

In fact, yesterday I had an appointment with the group for Cotesua, in principle, a quiet exit (the road captain had given very clear instructions). But, finally, we had a typical output of the month of April ...! That is to say, high intensity instead of capillary growth and consumption of fat ... :-(

Many people at RDV, about 20 cyclists, there was need to limit the effects of turrones (so English nougat typical this time of year). Quiet output, by the coast, as expected. Everything was going well until the first puncture a few miles from the Arc du Triomphe (on the photo the other day) .

Immediately after repair, the pace picked up immediately (as if we were to catch up lost time). I resisted the group for a while but when I saw that I was clearly above the threshold and that it was unlikely to calm down, I let go.

Fortunately, Alberto, who could travel by its level in the lead, had understood the initial instructions (it looks like it was the only one) and stayed behind with a few who drove to the breaking point as me.

(early rising Masllorenç with Alberto head)

And this is how we arrived at the fork to Masllorenç to catch any row, the top group. Mounted quiet (but a little above my pace) until German and I have noticed that we were only in the leading group (with highlights).

So enjoy a slight acceleration, I dropped back and installed at my own pace (the one I should have run for all the output) to reach the top few minutes before the second group.
(Masllorenç arrival at the 2nd group)

We continued together until Pedrito that has burst again. It took us three tubes for repair (it was a hole in his tire ... ;-)

Finally, we returned by road from the press, me at the wheel of Deborah (sub-champion Spain on Road and third against the clock) because I had a little hungry ... I'd just eat an energy bar when Pedrito burst then, as now I did not need energy, everything went directly to the stock ... and after ... the logical consequence of hypoglycemia.

Have you noticed my new knowledge of nutrition? (This is the result of the book that I just got for Christmas ;-)

Well, that's all, except that today I went out alone (at a snail's pace asthmatic) to clean the toxins from my legs ... ;-) Good

How To Clean Black Patent Leather Sneakers

HAIR, HAIR ALWAYS HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Double output following the coastline: Thursday with the roads still wet to Vendrell and Friday until Torredembarra Via Augusta (ie the N340).

The pace was very low (130 pulse on average) to properly prepare bases and continue the development of capillaries. Well, it must be said that on Friday, with the wind, the alley was a little harder, even if the return was slightly offset.

temperature, as you can imagine from the pictures, between 8 and 14 ° C. Not enough to attract people to the beach, but ideal for cycling.

So as you understand, I'm not the only one who enjoys these days to train (and do some intensive sessions before the empty table ;-) I found on the road a few Some of my friends: Alberto (twice), Joan Font (who had won Race del Pavo), Jorge, Deborah and others I have not had time to identify. Nobody here either ... ;-) DOES

And here I head for the exit. The reason I had not eaten breakfast to try potentia fat intake. Of course, after ¾ hour he must take food otherwise ...

Liposuction For Thighs Hurt?

Two days of rain could not leave. Since Monday, when I conducted a brief exit (Calafell, and return the Bellvei Arboç) without breakfast (for faster weight loss) and speed of a snail with asthma, I have not taken the bike.

Two days that I enjoyed, among others, to make final purchases before Christmas, read a book (450 pages) and reshape the blogs (I hope you enjoy the new look) ... Two days vacation without touching the bike leave much free time to fill ... ;-) Anyway

I can not go tomorrow, I go out even if there is a deluge ...

Finally, the purpose of this entry No is other than to wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Good year 2011 close to your family, healthy, a little work and lots of miles on the bike to take advantage of this second family also formed by the riders.

AWAY THE COLD

Yesterday, Saturday, very early (it was out before the snow storms), we went to Spain. No problems to report on the road, the snow was present all along the road (to Millau), but the highway was unobstructed and not many people. Here

somewhere between Issoire and St. Flour (scenario the next stage of the Tour) where the temperature was -18 ° C. The coldest point of the entire road. I hope that this summer the conditions are a little warmer ... ;-)
The bad news (at least for me) was that, while I was on the road, my colleagues here Spain closed the season with an output of more fun and friendly: the output of Christmas.
And today, Sunday: Session ATV (with my other colleagues), but ... surprise! Almost one in RDV, only Toni (with his new bike ... well, he already has two months) and Christian.
must say that to 0800 they fell three drops of rain (three drops I assure you, not one more ;-). It's more the "cold duck" (between 5 and 11 ° C ;-) are enough for almost everyone stays in bed ... Well, I should not criticize much as ten years ago I would have done the same; -). Departure Mas

the Artis and the Pic de l'Aguila to take what used to be a super nice trail and has been converted into a forest track (almost a highway) ... shame!
The pace was a little higher that corresponds to me in this period but that I already knew because mountain biking is hard here (42 km - 780 m altitude). I limited the damage, as well, by staying under the anaerobic threshold except in the few steep paths where you have no choice but to press for a few seconds to stay on the bike.

But the worst was when were returned to the summit of Pico Aguila and we went down to Casa Alta. Indeed, someone has decided to construct the road (which had no need to be developed and least in the country to the brink of bankruptcy) and who did it could be accused of criminal (and the word is ...).

I always try to be moderate in my comments ... but then he had to see it live. A path has sharp vertical drop but had no danger (for someone used to the bike) was transformed into a succession of traps. In fact, the guy who did it, did not compacted the ground so several times, my front wheel was bent almost to the axis. Further, he had accumulated such a quantity of stones that was really difficult to pass.

In conclusion, I nearly fell twice and I was scared during the descent. I was alone because Toni is Christian and had fallen as much as I fear. Unfortunately, this crap will not end like that, because this course is passed, then, I'm sure there will be victims ... hope not too serious

:-( After this moment of terror, we continued and arrived at Vilanova no other problems to report. But I am not immediately returned home because today there was the "Cursa del Pavo (the last road race in the region) where some of my colleagues participate while others run them. A good opportunity to meet colleagues that I could not greet yesterday.

Here Joan Font (a component of the group) posted in front of the race.
They (those who came as spectators) were, as usual at the top of the hill to the Casino where I spent a long time to go home.

Not bad for a rainy day ... ;-) Good
